Artist: Debra Laraman

Debra says:
“My work integrates a range of handcraft techniques within a fashion context. Through experimentation and spontaneity in the development process I subvert traditional techniques to create items that
challenge notions of perfection. Mistakes are celebrated and simple processes are adapted to form  seemingly complex designs.  I use often use discarded materials, reminding the viewer to value what we already own.”
